What does Mean Baits sell?
Carp fishing bait and tackle: freezer boilies, pop-ups, wafters, dumbells, pellets, particles (tigernuts, hemp, maples, mielies), liquid attractors, dips, concentrates, fish oils, hook bait spray, bottled tigernuts and kaboem mielies, lead coating powders, gripper and distance leads, additives and Mean Baits merchandise.

How do I order?
Send us a WhatsApp message on (+27) 82 452 3158 with what you need (product, flavour, size and quantity). One of our sales representatives will assist you. You can also order straight from any product page using the 'Order on WhatsApp' button.
Can I order by phone or email?

Do you deliver?
Yes. We deliver nationwide across South Africa with PostNet and The Courier Guy. The price of delivery depends on the weight of your order.
Do you deliver outside Gauteng?
Yes. Mean Baits delivers anywhere in South Africa by PostNet or The Courier Guy. Collection is also available by appointment in Kempton Park or Roodepoort.
How much is delivery?
Delivery cost depends on the weight of your order. Send us your order on WhatsApp and we will quote the delivery fee.
Where can I collect my order?
Collection is available in Florida Park, Roodepoort or in Kempton Park, by appointment only. The exact address is shared once your collection appointment is booked. WhatsApp or call us to arrange a collection time.
Do you have a shop I can walk into?
No. There are no walk-in trading hours at the moment. All collections are by appointment only.
How do I pay?
Payment details are confirmed by our sales representative when you order on WhatsApp.
Can you make custom bait?
Yes. No matter what MEAN baits you choose, or if you want us to make your own, we can do it. WhatsApp us with what you have in mind.
What are boilies?
Boilies are boiled, round paste baits used for carp fishing. Our freezer boilies come in sizes from 8mm to 32mm, in more than 20 flavours such as Krill, Scopex & Banana, Tigernut & Hemp and G-Force, at R110 per kg.
What are freezer boilies?
Freezer boilies are boilies made to be kept frozen rather than with added shelf-life preservatives. Ours are R110 per kg, all flavours.
What is the difference between pop-ups and wafters?
Pop-ups float and lift the hookbait off the bottom. Wafters are balanced to sink slowly and settle lightly. We sell cork dust and high-attract pop-ups (8–16mm, from R50 per tub) and 16mm wafters at R75 each.
Do you give bulk discounts?
Yes, on some lines: pellets are R50 per kg when you buy 10 kg or more (per flavour or mixed), and 16mm pop-ups and 16mm wafters are R65 each when you buy 10 or more. Ask us about bulk prices on other products.
Are your prices fixed?
Prices can change at any time. The current price is confirmed when you order.
What sizes do pellets come in?
All pellets come in 1 kg bags, in flavours such as Protein Krill, Fermented CSL, Hemp and Salmon & Trout.
Is everything always in stock?
Not always. Some items, like particles and XXL tigernuts, are limited or 'when in stock'. WhatsApp us to check availability.
How do I send my catch photos?
Send your photos on WhatsApp to (+27) 82 452 3158 with your name, the fish, its weight, the venue and the bait you used. We love seeing your results and may share them on our Facebook page.
Can I return a product?
Please check your order when it arrives and contact us on WhatsApp as soon as possible if there is a problem. Defective goods are handled in line with the Consumer Protection Act; see our terms.
